If you ask a poker player to name one poker player, he will probably name Phil Hellmuth.
Phil Hellmuth was born 1964, in Madison, Wisconsin. Today he lives in Palo Alto and is
married and has two sons. When he is not playing poker he works with his web site www.phillhellmuth.com.
He also enjoys writing and has written his own book "Play poker Like The Pros" that has become a
classic among poker books.
Phil Hellmuth started playing poker in college, 1985. Since then he as won several titles:
Phil enjoys playing Texas Hold'em (live and online poker) the most and it is in that game he has won most of his titles. His ambition in poker is to become the greatest poker player of our time.
For Phil it is important to maintain a good balance between poker and his private life. When he is asked which poker player he admires the most he says Ted Forrest. He admires him for his big heart and he wonderful way of playing poker. He admires Johnny Chan for his ability to play poker and that he spends a lot of time with his 6 children. He also admires Annie Duke since she can combine the poker career with her family life.
