Chris went to UCLA for over 18 years. First as an undergraduate and later as a PhD.
He won the 2000 World Series of Poker, totally unknown to the public. The first time
he participated in WSOP was in 1995. Before that he took part in several smaller
competitions. He had numerous money finishes and final tables but he had never finished
higher than 4th place.
One can think that his career started at WSOP in 2000 but he has been playing poker since he was 11 years old. When he was younger he played cards with his friends every weekend and was able to win some money. In 1989 he got interested in IRC poker network.
On IRC players from around the world gathered in different chat rooms to play poker. He was really successful and when he left the IRC he had been in the 1 or 2 position on the board for years. After he won the championship in Vegas he returned to the world of online poker. He selected a group of people to design and represent Full Tilt Poker.
He is still active in Full Tilt Poker and also helps players to improve their game. He hopes that this can help new players to the different poker tournaments around the world.
